The popularity of Cuba as a travel destination is growing, and at peak times of year people can expect to pay a premium for the privillage of staying in places such as Havana.  Many people choose to travel to Cuba during the Easter and Christmas breaks and the summer months of July and August.  It is essential to travel at the right time of year to Cuba, as a much looked forward to holiday could be spoilt by one of the many hurricanes which Cuba experience throughout the year.  Tourists are most at risk during he months of June through to November, during the months of January right through until May, it is thought that there is little chance if experiencing a hurricane – although this cannot be guaranteed.

Once in Cuba there is plenty of sights to experience, especially in the main city of Havana.  Although there is plenty going on within this city, there is also an air of romance which surrounds the city.  The sense of fun is everywhere, and people certainly know how to party in Havana.  The surroundings within this city almost take you back in time.  There is a huge amount of classic cars, both American and Russia.  There are many old Russian Lada’s about and the whole place is buzzing both day and night.

Havana in Cuba is home to one of two golf courses in the whole of Cuba.  This golf course however only has 9 holes to play, and it may surprise some to learn that Diego Maradona, the Argentine football player spends a lot of his time in Havana playing on this golf course.  There is a wide range of hotels and accommodation to choose from in Havana and it is well worth a look on the internet to check out prices.

Cuba does have an 18 hole golf course which was first opened in 1998, and boasts as being a luxurious golf club.  The Varadero Golf Club hosted the grand finals of the European Challenge tour back in the years 1999 and 2000.  So if you are thinking of playing golf in Cuba whilst on holiday then it might be the time to stock up on golf balls (Golfbälle) and golf accessories (Golf Zubehör) before you head to the airport.  If golfing is not your bag, then there is plenty of landscapes, sight seeing and surroundings to experience in Cuba.
